Children's hair is much more delicate than that of adults. Their scalp is very sensitive, it does not yet have a fully developed hydrolipid layer, which is its natural protective barrier. This makes it more susceptible to absorbing substances from cosmetics and more susceptible to irritation. Low activity of sebaceous glands makes their skin more susceptible to drying out. For these reasons, shampoos for children must meet appropriate standards and have a more restrictive composition than those intended for adults.
